Summit of iGaming Malta Starts TodayPublished October 30, 2014
Thursday is the first day of the Summit of iGaming Malta, which is looking like one of the main Remote Gambling events of the year.
Home to over 250 iGaming companies, with over 8,000 people employed in the industry, Malta is recognised as a major remote gaming centre, and Thursday, October 30th sees the start of the inaugural Summit of iGaming Malta (SiGMA).
About the iGaming Summit
Running throughout the weekend, from the October 30th until November 2nd, the SiGMA event will host some 2,000 visitors, 70 exhibitors and over 60 speakers, covering all aspects of the online gambling market. Held at the newly refurbished InterContinental Bay Arena, in St Georges Bay, guests will be gathered at the largest uninterrupted exhibition space in the area.
There are two main conferences, one for affiliates and SEO experts, that will focus on marketing and social media advertising, and one for executives and suppliers that will cover regulations, taxation, banking and software.
Among the scheduled events are seminars covering subjects as diverse as the gambling regulations of Malta, best practices for igaming operators, business success stories and innovation in mobile gaming. There are many networking opportunities, several of which are held over cocktails, or Poker games, giving affiliates, remote gaming operators, recruiters, suppliers, financial experts and games representatives ample time to meet and greet and form new partnerships.
Speakers include Joseph Cushieri, Executive Chairman of the Lotteries and Gaming Commission of Malta, Simon Hammon, Chief Product Officer at NetEnt, and Ulrik Bengtsson, CEO of Betsson, who will all be presenting on their areas of expertise throughout the event.
Among the many exhibitors are major operators like 888 Casino, Ladbrokes, CalvinAire, DeLoitte Malta, The Gambling Portal Webmasters Association, Mobilbet, and Euroslots,
SiGMA is free for affiliates, and registration is still open for the next couple of days.
